Real Backyards, Real Projects

Every project here started the same way every deck, porch, pergola or fence at Evoke Design + Build starts: a conversation about how a family actually wants to use their outdoor space, followed by a plan built around their yard instead of a standard template. These ten projects span Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Smithfield, and cover the full range of what we build, from a straightforward standard deck in Larchmont to a hillside backyard in Gatling Pointe reshaped with landings and a custom pergola, to a pool-side entertaining space in Landstown built for hosting.

If you do not see a yard here that looks quite like yours, that is normal — every property we build on has its own slope, sun exposure, sightlines and budget, and the plan we come up with reflects that instead of forcing your yard to fit somebody else's design.
