A deck is the foundation of outdoor living, the platform everything else gets built around. We design and build custom decks in PVC, composite and natural wood, sized and shaped to fit your yard rather than a standard template.

Every deck starts with a real conversation about how you plan to use the space: quiet mornings with coffee, big family cookouts, a spot for the grill, or all three. From there we handle the structural framing, decking and finish work ourselves, with Ashleigh drawing the plans and Joey running the build.

Coastal Virginia weather is hard on a deck. Salt air, humidity and hard freezes all take their toll, so we build to hold up to it, not just to look good on install day.

Material choice matters as much as the build itself. PVC decking costs more up front but never rots, splinters or needs staining, composite splits the difference between price and low maintenance, and natural wood gives you that classic look if you're willing to reseal it every couple of years. We walk through the tradeoffs with you rather than pushing one option, because the right material depends on your budget, how much upkeep you actually want to do, and how the deck will be used. Multi-level decks, built-in benches and integrated lighting are all part of the conversation too, not separate add-ons priced out later.

What To Expect Once You Say Yes

Every deck we build gets pulled through the proper permit process in your locality before framing starts, not after. Ashleigh's plans are drawn to pass inspection the first time, which is one of the most common places deck projects stall when that step gets skipped.

Most single-level decks run a few weeks from the first day of framing to final walkthrough, longer if we're tying into existing structure or the design includes built-ins, lighting or a paver landing at the base. We give you a real timeline specific to your project once the plans are set, not a generic range.
