Our Story
Evoke Design + Build is a husband-and-wife-run deck, porch, fence, paver and pergola contractor. Ashleigh designs — plans, schematics, 3D models and material selections. Joey builds — construction and hands-on project management. Every project moves through the same three steps: Design It, Build It, Love It.

Joey runs every build hands-on, managing permits and a trusted network of trades, and personally builds the most difficult, detail-oriented parts of every project himself.

We bring in trusted, vetted trades for different parts of the build, and Joey personally handles the most difficult, detail-oriented work himself. Either way, Joey manages the project start to finish, so you get one point of contact if anything needs adjusting mid-project.
Ashleigh's background is in design, Joey's is in the trades, and Evoke exists because most contractors are strong at one side of that and weak at the other. Every project gets both from day one instead of a builder guessing at a plan or a designer handing off drawings nobody can actually build to spec.
