A pergola adds structure and shade to a space without fully enclosing it, perfect for a patio, deck or spot in the yard that needs a little definition. We build pergolas as standalone features or as part of a larger deck and outdoor living project, sized to frame a dining area, a lounge space or a walkway.
Post spacing, beam size and roof style all get worked out around how you'll actually use the space underneath it, not a one-size-fits-all kit.
The result is a structure that looks intentional and holds up to coastal wind and weather.
We build both attached pergolas that tie directly into the house and freestanding ones set anywhere in the yard, and the choice usually comes down to what the structure needs to connect to. Louvered roof systems are an option for anyone who wants adjustable shade instead of a fixed one, opening up on a nice day and closing to block sun or light rain. Cedar and PVC are the two most common material choices: cedar brings a warmer, natural look that ages over time, while PVC holds its color and shape with essentially no maintenance. We can also wire in string lighting, fans or a mounted TV during the build, so nothing has to be retrofitted after the structure is finished.
Not everyone wants a custom-built pergola. If you'd rather have a manufactured aluminum system with louvers you can open and close on demand, full sun, full shade, or closed up tight when it starts to rain, we now install Eagle Patio's engineered aluminum louvered pergolas alongside our own custom wood-built ones. It's a different product for a different homeowner: less carpentry, more manufactured precision.
Here's how that arrangement works: you buy the Eagle Patio kit directly from Eagle Patio, and we handle the site prep and professional installation. We're not an Eagle Patio dealer, and we don't sell or manufacture the kits ourselves. We install them, on a foundation and layout we prep to spec.
One we recently finished: a double L5 (10' x 24') paired with an N5 Slim, installed together at a home in Chesapeake, VA.
Eagle Patio builds these out of 100% 6063-T5 aluminum with an AkzoNobel Interpon powder coating, and backs the frame with up to a 12-year structural warranty. That's Eagle Patio's warranty on the product itself, not ours. It's separate from Evoke's own one-year workmanship warranty, which covers the site prep and installation work we do.
